More from the Hot Rod Reunion here in Bowling Green at Beech Bend. The old guys are pulling out the stops today with hard hitting drag action. It rained hard this morning and then it got hot, really hot. There was tons of people here today despite the weather. Booth traffic was great today.  We talked to a lot of people that have our products today and its awesome to hear what they have to say about it.  Today was the first rounds of Top fuel, funny car and altered fuel. I’m a funny car guy because to me they look sorta like a car. But Altered Fuel, let me tell ya… There is a reason they don’t have this type of racing anymore. They don’t want people to die. This is insane on the highest level. Altered fuel class is basically a short wheel base top fuel car. So take one top fuel nitro hemi, shorted the already unstable narrow chassis of a nostalgic top fuel rail to about half and apply gobs of power. Throw in the fact the guy driving it is in probably his upper 60’s to early 70’s, which by the way is totally awesome in its own right. Then let the mayhem ensue. These cars go from one side of the track to the other and the dude never lifts. A blast to watch. Then after dark the incredible “Cacklefest” begins. All the top dragsters from the back in the day are pulled down the track in parade fashion. Then they set them in place and crank up the engines. Unbelievable. The pictures will not do it justice.
