Cherry Bomb - Disturbed the Peace In Little Rock, AR

Loudon, TN (June 25, 2007) Cherry Bomb, the grand finale sponsor of the 2007 Hot Rod Power Tour, lived up to their tag line – Disturbing the Peace Since 1964 – by bringing to the Arkansas State Fairgrounds Blue Oyster Cult for a free concert. Playing for close to hour and a half in an outside concert, BOC played much of their signature music including Don’t Fear The Reaper, Burnin’ for You, Born to Rock and Godzilla.

Cherry Bomb was pleased to have the opportunity to provide dinner for the Long Haulers on the tour, co-sponsoring the meal with the very generous assistance of the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Throughout the tour, Cherry Bomb announced the opportunity to win apparel and muffler giveaways and two leather Cherry Bomb jackets signed by country music duo, Brooks and Dunn. Cherry Bomb owner, Paul Banks, then announced prior to the BOC concert the names of the winners of both jackets signed by Brooks and Dunn, and the winner of a third jacket, (kept as a last minute surprise) signed by Blue Oyster Cult.

Throughout the week Long Haulers applied to be included in Cherry Bomb’s 2008 Disturbing the Peace Calendar contest. The winners were announced in Memphis, TN, prior to the finale in Little Rock.

All of the contest winners were delighted to experience a professional photo shoot of their vehicle provided by Bob Shaw photography during the day’s activities. The poster calendar will be inserted in the November newsstand issue of Hot Rod Magazine.
